Comments Gdine is a great way to split the bill w/ friends and the food options at Province offered something for our dietary diverse group (one vegetarian, one pescatarian and one carnivoire). All 3 options I had were delicious! It was also very nice to be able to talk w/o shouting or asking "what?" so many times. Other bonuses: Our service team were very attentive and street parking was pretty easy in the area at dinner time during the week. Glad we gave it a go!

Comments It was a slow night when hub and I went, but that was ok - really nice place, chef brought us out two different things to try for free (!), and they will modify most dishes for vegans - another HUGE plus. Great food, will definitely be going back!

Comments Everything was perfect at Province from the service to the food. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and her suggestions were spot on.
The drink menu offers some unusual, but quite delicious choices. Definitely try the Rosemary Manhattan.

Comments Our reservation was for 6pm. My friend was running late so she didn't arrive until 6:15. She asked if it was ok for her to have a drink in the bar before being seated and the hostess was very gracious and said it would be fine.
Unfortunately, this was the highlight of the evening. I ordered a fino sherry at the bar. I would be liberally estimating the pour at 3 ounces. I guess that's what you get in the big city.
After being seated, we were brought our prix fixe menu, which had some changes that the server told us about. I had the roasted beet and bleu cheese salad and my companion had the mussels and seafood sausage. The salad had 2 or 3 pieces of salad greens, 1 crumble of bleu cheese and a host of roasted fresh beets. The beets were delicious. The mussels were the best dish of the evening. They were out of their shell and in a seafood broth and so good. The seafood sausage was rubbery and tasted like surimi.
I had the 10-hour lamb with spoonbread. The lamb was fork tender and the flavor was good. The spoonbread was so so. But everything was cold. My companion had the salmon. The fish was way too underdone for my taste but she thought it was fine. She also thought it lacked flavor.
The coffee and donuts and the pear tart were our dessert selections. The donuts were cinnamon and coffee dusted dough balls, not churros like they were described. The pear tart was good. The ice cream was yummy and the tart was probably brought in from a bakery.
Overall, I would not go back to Province. We spent $30 for 3 very small courses. Of course tax and gratuity (20%, at that) were added. We felt we were ignored and almost shunned by our server becuase we had a "coupon". Perhaps this restaurant and it's employees have too much money and business and can afford to mistreat customers. The dinner, with drinks, ended up costing $200 anyway. The food was not exemplary and the service was poor. Next time, I'll go to Blackbird where a $200 dinner is worth it.

Comments When looking at the gDine menu for Province, my initial reaction was "Am I going to be full?" After the amuse bouche of gazpacho, wonderful salad, perfectly prepared short ribs, and a knockout desert, both me and my fellow four diners were blown away!
