  Elegant and flavorful food; loved the seafood mousse (pescamal), skatewing with ajo relish, and desserts (apple tart and chocolate enchilada). The tinga de pollo was delicious too, I just wish I had more of it. Will definitely come back for more! Thanks gDine for introducing us to a wonderful dining experience.

  Took my girlfriend there, Saturday evening. Food was great, as we did not have one complaint, very unique. Atmosphere was very average but overall we were both very satisfied with the service and food. Try the sangria, not the tequila (pop) special.

  Thanks to GDine, I was introduced to Mexique, a wonderful "must do" restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious, cooked to perfection, and elegantly presented to us. The server was polite, friendly, polished and seemed to be very proud of what he presented to us. The Chef came by and said hello and asked if we were enjoying our meal. It was a wonderful, unexpected experience. Thanks to GDine, we enjoyed the 3 course promotion and loved every bit of it. I think the TINGA DE POLLO (Tostaditas, Chipotle Shredded Chicken, Crème Fraîche and Cilantro) was my favorite of the evening. I devoured it. The flank steak for my entree, as well as my apple tart for dessert were perfect. Can't wait to return!

  third visit to mexique, would say it is now more "french food with a mexican twist" than the other way around, still good however, coszy place, good service

  The food was excellent starting with the onion soup with cheese that stretched for miles followed by the pork with an amazing mole sauce. It was just difficult to get the feast started with the server taking over 5 minutes to greet us and roughly another 10 minutes to process the initial drink order. However once that was resolved, the service was great.

  Great gDine menu selections, something for everyone. Wine prices were also reasonable with plenty of variety and price points. Included our 6 yo son in our plans and Mexique was very accommodating to our young diner. Wouldn't suggest for the super young or those that aren't well-behaved in restaurants.

  I made a reservation for an anniversary at Mexique and I was so surprised, this wasn't just dinner this was an experience, the food is delicious, the staff is so attentive, the hostess was the best.

  Took my wife there with several friends to celebrate a special birthday. The food was excellent, well-prepared and creatively seasoned. Caeser salad on the menu but they had run out of Romaine lettuce. Not such an esoteric item that it couldn't have been easily replaced by a trip to a nearby grocery. The alternative salad was interesting but clearly a fill-in. The Paloma which seems to be a signature drink is pleasant, goes down easily but doesn't pack any kick whatsoever. This is the second time (the first a Bloody Mary) that I was left wondering if there was enough or any alcohol in the drink. These are minor criticisms. Everyone loved the place, the food and the service was friendly. Mexique is one of my favorite restaurants. They might have noted the birthday (it was on the reservation) but no mention of it. Its all in the details and they need to pay a bit more attention to them.

  What a wonderful evening! From the warm welcome at the door to the delicious dessert, Mexique was a marvelous evening. Each dish was a treat for the eye and the mouth. Wonderful selections. Can't wait to come back!

  I was very pleased, with the exception of perhaps the most expensive orange juice I have ever seen. Then again, most places aren't suited for a non-drinker. Stick to booze or water at this place!

  I wanted to try this restaurant for a while. The G-Dine offer was a good opportunity. The experience overall was very good. I'll be back to try dishes off the regular menu. Only disappointment was limited bar.

  Everything about Mexique was great. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff friendly and the chef came to each table to meet diners and get feedback about the dishes. The choices were great, for anyone, with delicate and spicy flavors. All food presented beautifully and plated on beautiful dishes. The sangria was delicious. Do not miss Mexique. I will be back.

  Our meal at Mexique was truly fabulous. Innovative approaches to classic Mexican dishes that were well conceived, executed, and presented. The dining room does not offer a particularly unique atmosphere or ambiance, but it is a very good place to have a quiet conversation--a perfect location if you want to be able to hear your dining companions and focus on enjoying the excellent cuisine. We are real aficionados of Mexican food and agreed that the offerings at Mexique equaled (and perhaps surpassed) the best upscale Mexican dining at other Chicago restaurants; it even gave some of our favorite places in Mexico City a run for the money. We will absolutely be back.

  The restaurant was relatively quiet--it was a frigid Tuesday night--but the few groups there were having a great time. It's romantic and the food is insanely good. I had the spicy tostadas appetizer, the asada--goat cheese fondue, wow--and the chocolate enchilada (which I was almost too full for--almost). I went with a group of girls, but I'll bring my boyfriend back.
