  It's been a couple of years since we've been to Carson's. The remodel is a nice refresher. The service was excellent. Of course we have the ribs, they were good. the au gratin potatoes were excellent. The wedge salad and the garbage salads were excellent. The G dine fixed price deal was an excellent value.

  Recently went here with a group of girlfriends. Staff was accomodating regarding our request to add another person to our table (side note: we tried to contact Gdine about 2 hours before our reservation add the person to our group but couldn't reach their live chat support). Our table was ready right away. Our server was professional, but not very friendly and seemed stumped when I asked for a recommendation on the 1st course options. Our food was served in a timely manner, but it was just okay. There was nothing really memorable about the presentation or the quality. I'm surprised that their ribs were not more tender (although I did like the sauce). With all the great restaurants in Chicago, I don't think I will be back to this one.

  The service was just okay but the garbage salad was really tasty. We ordered the ribs with high expectations but they were so tough that we struggled to cut them... we were a little disappointed. The waitress went to one table and noticed a woman struggling to eat her ribs and the waitress said “sometimes these ribs are hard to cut from sitting down let me cut them for you.” I don’t think you should have to have your waitress cut your ribs for you to eat them. I prefer the fall off the bone kind of ribs. The BBQ sauce was really good though. If you go, just don't order the ribs... maybe their other entrees are better.

  It may be old and far from "real" bbq, but it sure tastes good. Service outstanding and the value for the gdine excellent too!

  I had not been to Carson's in at least a decade. I was pleasantly suprised to find an updated decor and the food was still the quality as remembered. On a Saturday night Gdine was able to secure us a 2 top at 7 and although there was a wait at the full restaurant when we arrived at 6:50 we were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. We will be back soon!

  We had just sat down and ordered when my dinner partner became very dizzy and lethargic. After our waiter asked a few times if he ws okay, we decided to take our dinner to go. They could not have been more helpful getting him up and out to the car and wrapping up dinner. A quick trip to the ER told us it was a horrible drug interaction. The next day we warmed up the fabulous food and enjoyed our dinner. The ribs were just as great as everyone says and the auGratin potatoes were amazing. Thanks GDine for this offer and thanks to the manager and waiters at Carsons for their help. They could not have been better.
