Comments Benjamin has a great downtown vibe in little Highland Park. Our table was ready early. Specialty cocktails were excellent. Service was a little slow, but friendly and helpful. Did have some mix-ups with the order. But the food was very good. New menu -- not on their website or on gDine last I checked -- but it was still very good.

Comments We stumbled upon Benjamin as we searched gdine for somewhere different to eat. While we live on the northshore, we were unaware of Benjamin. After eating there, we will definitely be going back. The food was delicious, the portions were very generous and the service was excellent.

Decor is nice, but tables are small and very close together.
The menu is well thought out, and the food is very good, well presented, and portions are ample.
However, service is not good. The restaurant is small, and several tables are upstairs where service REALLY lacks. Dinner for 3 with no drinks took 2 1/2 hours. I asked the manager, and he thought this was normal. We didn't.
